ABC Infant Adoption

Families For Kids Program

Every child deserves to grow up in a family.  We connect children who wait in foster care with permanent families, providing support before, during and after the family is united.

ABC Infant Adoption assists families interested in adopting children from U. S. foster care. Our experienced staff answers any and all questions families may have. Our assessors support families through the home study process, providing assistance in registering for required pre-service training, assisting with the completion of all necessary paperwork, and conducting the visits to the family’s home. Once a family’s home study has been approved, AIA’s family caseworkers provide free search and matching services. We work closely with the children’s custodial agency workers to help assure the best possible permanency option for the child and the family. ABC Infant Adoption works with families nationwide, making sure that they have the local support needed to successfully navigate their adoption journey.

For 25 years now ABC Infant Adopton has been helping older kids in foster care and orphanages be seen, find families, and thrive.

At any given time nearly 120,000 kids in the U.S. are waiting for adoption, according to the Administration for Children and Families. Additionally, 2 million children are eligible for adoption throughout the world, according to UNICEF. Research shows that a child is most likely to be adopted during the first nine years of their life. After their tenth birthday, they are considered an “older child,” and their odds of being adopted dramatically decrease.

We believe that every child deserves a family, but without action, thousands of older kids will continue to grow up in care, unsupported, without the love and safety of family.

AIA exists to change that. Our innovative programs are designed to create opportunities for older children in foster care to connect with adoptive families and life-long mentors. Kidsave currently operates its programs in four nations: the U.S., Ukraine, Colombia, and Sierra Leone.

Our mission is to create change so older, forgotten children in foster care and orphanages grow up in families and are connected to caring adults.

Because when they have a family to guide them, encourage them, and be there for them, these kids can truly thrive and become the people they were destined to be.
